Our Concept

 We are a multidisciplinary team of experienced educators establishing a free primary school in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark. The school is supported by the non-profit YiXue Bildungszentrum gGmbH, which has been developing innovative educational models since 2010 – inspired by traditional Chinese wisdom, health-promoting and consciousness-based approaches, as well as current scientific research.

 Our pedagogical approach is holistic. At its core lies the development of body, mind, and personality. We see every child as a unique individual with inner potential that can unfold naturally – when accompanied with care and given the right spaces for experience.

 The founding of our school addresses pressing challenges in education: standardized curricula, growing performance pressure, teacher shortages, and psychosocial stress that often lead to loss of motivation and overwhelm in children. Our school offers a different culture of learning – one that fosters self-efficacy, joy of learning, and inner stability.

 We work with established and further developed educational methods such as: 

• Qi Gong and Zhi Neng practices integrated into daily school life and lessons
• Project-based and experiential learning
• Individual guidance instead of frontal teaching
• Close collaboration with parents and families

These methods help children understand their learning journey as a living process – not just the acquisition of knowledge. 

A Full-Day Learning Environment

 As an all-day school, YiXue Primary School Beelitz will offer complementary support and care (EföB) for all grade levels. Planned activities include creative, physical, and nature-based afternoon programs, as well as self-organized learning (SOL). The goal is to promote equal opportunities, support families, and give children space for free expression and social development.
